Darwin

Darwin is seaQuest's most famous crew member: a bottlenose dolphin with free run of the boat via a network of aqua-tubes. Lucas's vocorder translated his clicks and whistles into speech, "Darwin loves Bridger," making him television's chattiest cetacean and the show's unofficial mascot.

Darwin was realized through a mix of trained dolphins and animatronics, with vocal effects by legendary voice actor Frank Welker.
