Commander Jonathan Ford

seaQuest's steady executive officer and one of only a handful of characters to serve across the entire run of the series. Ford initially chafed against Bridger's science-first philosophy as a career military man, then grew into the bridge between the boat's two identities, explorer and warship, and was more than once left holding command in impossible circumstances.

Don Franklin brought a calm, grounded presence to the role from the pilot through the series finale.
